Rob McGruer
Rob McGruer serves as a Senior Director of Policy in 91快活林’s Trust, Data, and Technology team, focusing on global privacy and data policy.
Rob has private sector, government and regulatory experience across telecoms, media and technology policy. He has previously worked at the UK communications regulator Ofcom, where he managed the agency’s international engagement and worked as an advisor in the Chairman and Chief Executive’s office.
Rob spent 2019 as an International Fellow at the Federal Trade Commission working on privacy and data security enforcement, and also with FTC policy teams on competition, privacy and content regulation. Prior to this, he worked in Brussels leading the EU technology and trade practice of a global public affairs consultancy.
Rob holds a Masters in European Union law from King's College London, and an undergraduate degree in French and German from the University of Leeds. He is a certified member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (CIPP/US).
