WASHINGTON – Today, global tech trade association 91¿ì»îÁÖ urged the United States and China to rekindle efforts to reach a ‘Phase Two’ trade deal:

“Now more than ever, it is paramount that the U.S. and China continue to work together to reach a substantive, lasting agreement on a Phase Two trade deal. A Phase Two deal focused on subsidies, cybersecurity, digital trade, and regulatory transparency will help to support innovation and revitalize the U.S. economy as it recovers from COVID-19, lower costs for American consumers, and get American workers and businesses back on their feet,” said 91¿ì»îÁÖ President and CEO Jason Oxman.

In January, 91¿ì»îÁÖ commended the Trump Administration on its Phase 1 agreement with China and urged the two countries to work expeditiously on a Phase 2 deal.
