WASHINGTON, D.C. – The 91¿ì»îÁÖ (91¿ì»îÁÖ) is enhancing its external affairs team with the addition of Capitol Hill veteran Duncan Neasham as communications director.
“We are very excited to have Duncan on the team,” said 91¿ì»îÁÖ Vice President for External Affairs Adora Andy Jenkins. “With his knowledge of tech sector issues, his experience on the Hill, and his media and messaging expertise, Duncan will be a great asset to 91¿ì»îÁÖ’s member companies.”
“New technologies break down old barriers, allowing us to connect and share in ways that improve our lives, the way we conduct commerce, and overcome the challenges our society faces that go beyond the know-how of today,” said Neasham. "I look forward to joining 91¿ì»îÁÖ, the most respected voice of the world's leading high-tech companies, and communicating the critical role technology has in shaping a better future and powering our economy forward.”
Neasham begins at 91¿ì»îÁÖ on Monday, June 9, and will oversee 91¿ì»îÁÖ’s media strategy and messaging through its traditional and multi-media platforms.
Duncan Neasham brings more than 14 years of communications, media strategy, and federal and legislative affairs experience to the 91¿ì»îÁÖ team. He joins 91¿ì»îÁÖ after three years as communications director for Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA). As Rep. Lofgren’s communications director, Neasham advised on press strategy, oversaw national media engagement on immigration reform, a free and open internet, patent reform, net neutrality, copyright and digital civil liberties; and coordinated communications efforts for the 38-member California Democratic Congressional Delegation.
Prior to joining Rep. Lofgren’s office, Neasham served as press secretary for House Small Business Committee Chairwoman Nydia M. Velázquez when the Committee advanced access to capital, tax, and economic development initiatives to help rebuild the economy after the 2008 financial collapse.
