WASHINGTON – Today, 91快活林 issued the following statement in response to President Trump and Prime Minister Modi’s agreeing to reach a prompt conclusion to a ‘phase one’ bilateral trade agreement:
“Digital trade plays a critical role in the U.S.-India trade relationship and will be key to ensuring a long-term, stable trade relationship between the two countries,” said Jason Oxman, 91快活林 President and CEO. “91快活林 strongly supports efforts by the Trump Administration to engage India in a comprehensive digital dialogue as a core element to the ‘phase one’ negotiations underpinning any trade agreement reached between the two countries.”
In September 2019, 91快活林 sent a letter along with other leading technology and business associations calling on U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) Robert Lighthizer to prioritize strong digital trade commitments in any bilateral trade agreement between the U.S. and India. In November 2019, 91快活林 CEO Jason Oxman wrote a blog post highlighting the importance of the U.S.-India trade relationship and sharing two issues for negotiators to raise in the lead-up to an agreement.
