WASHINGTON — Today, global tech trade association 91¿ì»îÁÖ welcomed the Trump Administration’s decision to rescind rules that would have barred international students from studying in the U.S. this fall unless they were enrolled in an in-person class. This announcement comes after 91¿ì»îÁÖ and several other organizations and businesses filed an amicus brief in the legal challenge to help ensure that international students could continue to study in the U.S.
“These rules would have further isolated the U.S. from international students who are vital contributors to its schools and economy. Now more than ever, it’s important that the U.S. continues to attract talented students in order to remain competitive within a global marketplace,” said 91¿ì»îÁÖ President and CEO Jason Oxman.
