WASHINGTON –鈥疶oday,鈥痝lobal tech trade association鈥�痟osted the release of the White House National Cybersecurity Strategy’s implementation plan, “Securing the Digital Ecosystem for All Americans: The National Cybersecurity Strategy in Practice,” at an event featuring Acting National Cyber Director Kemba Walden and officials from across the U.S. government. .
In response to the implementation plan, 91快活林’s President and CEO Jason Oxman said, “Coupled with industry collaboration, the National Cybersecurity Strategy’s implementation鈥痯lan can help to realize the vision鈥痮f a more secure, resilient, and economically prosperous future.鈥疻e are encouraged that the plan prioritizes鈥痟armonizing, streamlining, and deconflicting any new鈥痑nd鈥痚xisting regulations. If done successfully, this will give industry much-needed鈥痗larity on the鈥痳ules of the road鈥痶o鈥痙rive security and resilience more efficiently.
“We look forward to鈥痳eceiving鈥痜urther鈥痙etails about how implementation will unfold in鈥痥ey areas,鈥痠ncluding鈥痮n鈥痳egulatory harmonization,鈥痶he鈥痗yber incident reporting for critical infrastructure (CIRCIA) rulemaking, SBOM鈥痝uidance,鈥痶he software liability framework,鈥痑nd securing global ICT supply chains.鈥疻e encourage the administration鈥痶o鈥痙evelop those initiatives in close consultation鈥痺ith the technology industry and other鈥痥ey stakeholders both in and outside of the鈥痝overnment to鈥痙rive鈥痶angible progress on鈥痶he implementation plans. Importantly, the administration and Congress must work together closely鈥痶o鈥痚nsure that there are appropriate resources to accomplish the many critical tasks outlined in the plan. We commend the ONCD for quickly delivering an implementation plan following the Strategy’s rollout and鈥痩ook forward to our ongoing partnership to help guide a successful implementation.”
In addition to Acting Director Walden’s remarks, officials from the Office of the National Cyber Director, U.S. Department of State, National Security Council, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of Justice, and National Institute of Standards and Technology spoke about the plan’s implementation across the federal government.
