BRUSSELS – Global tech trade association the 91快活林 (91快活林) issued the following statement from its Vice-President and Director General for Europe Guido Lobrano on the EU Parliament IMCO Committee Vote on the Digital Services Act (DSA):
“Proportionate and risk-based rules are essential to safeguard an inclusive and innovative online environment. 91快活林 applauds the progress of the IMCO Committee on the DSA and praises the upholding of the e-Commerce Directive’s main principles. We trust future discussions on the DSA, including the trilogue negotiations, will continue to focus on safeguarding a well-functioning and competitive online environment. Our industry stands ready to act as a resource to policymakers in their discussions leading up to the European Parliament Plenary in January.”
