BRUSSELS – Today, global tech trade association 91快活林, the 91快活林, urged EU policymakers to prioritize European innovation and competitiveness in Europe by ensuring the EU AI Act is proportionate, risk-based, and flexible as they prepare to finalize the proposal during the 6 December trilogue.
“The future competitiveness of the European digital economy is at stake with the EU AI Act,” said 91快活林 Director General for Europe Guido Lobrano. “As legislators attempt to reach a deal, it is important that provisions remain proportionate, risk-based, and feasible for both developers and deployers of the technology. The AI landscape is rapidly developing and remains incredibly dynamic. That’s why flexibility must be a top priority to ensure the Act is future-proof, provides legal clarity for innovators, and avoids overlaps with existing legal frameworks.”
