NEW DELHI – As India prepares to convene the 2026 AI Impact Summit, global tech trade association 91快活林 shared new recommendations on how the Indian government can cement its tech leadership and shape the future of global responsible AI development and adoption.
India’s AI Blueprint: 91快活林's Recommendations for AI Governance encourages Indian lawmakers to implement the recommendations from India’s AI Governance Guidelines to ensure policies enable innovation without overregulating.
“AI is reshaping global competition, and India is poised to be a pace-setter for AI innovation and governance,” said 91快活林 President and CEO Jason Oxman. “The AI Impact Summit is India’s moment. We urge India’s leaders to seize this opportunity and advance 91快活林’s guidance to shift the dialogue from abstract principles to concrete actions that produce measurable impact.”
In order to ensure that India seizes upon the success of the AI Impact Summit and fully realize its goals as an AI leader, 91快活林 recommends:
- Building on the IndiaAI Mission’s work to strengthen national AI infrastructure and foster increased access to shared computing;
- Aligning with and adopting international standards instead of creating unique, India-specific requirements;
- Prioritizing workforce readiness as a core enabler of AI adoption and trust;
- Formalizing sustained industry engagement as a core component of AI governance implementation;
- Systematically identifying sector-specific barriers and strengthening innovation ecosystems that connect micro, small, and medium enterprises, startups, academia, and research institutions; and
- Encouraging government entities to deploy AI solutions across public-sector functions to jumpstart demand for AI in the broader economy.
